Executing Carbon Reduction Strategies in Alignment with the Global 1.5°C Goal

Amid escalating global climate crises, corporate carbon reduction efforts are not only about environmental responsibility—they are also symbols of brand resilience and competitiveness. PANJIT International Inc., a key player in Taiwan’s semiconductor industry, is proud to announce that it has been rated as “Outstanding Performance” in the Corporate Carbon Reduction Thermometer, co-hosted by CommonWealth Magazine and Tunghai University during the 2025 1.5°C Corporate Forum. With a temperature alignment of only 1.546°C, PANJIT ranks among the leading group out of approximately 1,200 participating companies, fully showcasing its proactive actions and strong commitment toward sustainable transformation.

Targeting the 1.5°C Goal — Leading the Way in Science-Based Carbon Reduction

According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), limiting global warming to 1.5°C is essential to avoid catastrophic climate consequences. PANJIT has not only responded actively but has also taken the initiative to adopt data-driven strategies aligned with international standards.

We have officially obtained the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) commitment, becoming one of the globally recognized enterprises committed to science-based carbon reduction. Going forward, we will set concrete emissions reduction targets based on scientific methodology and implement corresponding actions within a defined timeline, aligning our efforts with the global pathway to net-zero.

PANJIT's Carbon Reduction Path: Clear Short-, Mid-, and Long-Term Strategies

To ensure that sustainable development goes hand in hand with corporate growth, we have set phased carbon reduction targets as we steadily move toward our long-term vision of a low-carbon transformation:

• Short-term: Complete a full group-wide carbon inventory by June 2026, with annual carbon reductions exceeding 1%.
• Mid-term: Reduce carbon emissions by over 10% by 2030, compared to the 2022 baseline.
• Long-term: Focusing on reducing Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions, while continuously improving the carbon footprint of Scope 3, and incorporating carbon offset mechanisms when appropriate, we are striving toward low-carbon transformation across the entire value chain and the goal of carbon neutrality.

These goals are not only ambitious but also forward-thinking, demonstrating PANJIT’s dedication to fundamentally transforming business operations through scientific low-carbon transition methods.

A Role Model with a Macroscopic Vision — PANJIT to Continue Advancing Sustainability

According to data from the forum, only 33.8% of enterprises in Taiwan have met the 1.5°C target, with the manufacturing sector at 35.2%. PANJIT has achieved an impressive result of 1.546°C in this assessment, demonstrating our proactive approach to carbon management and showcasing our industry-leading sustainability resilience. Looking ahead, PANJIT will continue to integrate a green supply chain, innovative technologies, and international collaboration to leverage corporate influence and drive upstream and downstream partners in jointly creating net-zero value.

We firmly believe that sustainability is no longer optional—it is the core of long-term corporate competitiveness. On this journey toward net-zero, PANJIT will continue to lead the electronics industry into a low-carbon future with integrity, innovation, and responsibility.
